Today I made my first attempt at completing my visa: a visit to the prefecture(s)! Started off with the prefecture at Bastille, to be automatically sent to la Cité Internationale Universitaire.
This morning [8:00 a.m.] marked the first gray sky since I’ve been here so getting off the metro at Bastille to see the gold shining bright from the Colonne de Juillet.
On my way to prefecture #2 I got a glimpse at the green tumor of La Cité de la Mode et du Design on the Seine.
Waiting for the tram to arrive to finish my journey, I was admiring the design of the new network. Maybe if I was focusing more on the routes instead of the design I would have gotten on the right tram the first time…
And I finally arrived [10:08 a.m.] at La Maison Internationale, not too shabby of a building to house a prefecture. I even almost made it all the way through the application process before the lady realized I didn’t have my Birth Certificate, which no one has mentioned me needing by the way.
